ABSTRACT
Lupus enteritis is uncommon in patients with SLE and usually presents anorexia, vomiting, abdominal pain. Intestinal perforation as an initial manifestation of rare can have a grave prognosis if not timely diagnosed.We report unusual case 22-year-old regularly menstruating female who presented features peritonitis lupus enteritis. Intraoperatively, gangrenous ileal segment multiple perforations was present. Thus, intraoperative diagnosis peritonitis, the small bowel resected double-barrel jejuno-ileostomy created.Lupus manifesting initially be cause acute abdomen. A plain chest X-ray show gas under diaphragm suggesting perforation. contrast-enhanced CT scan abdomen gold standard diagnosing good on steroids.Primary closure, resection, anastomosis gut or diverting stoma are required for management high degree clinical suspicion early thus preventing such entity.
