ABSTRACT
Ileosigmoid knotting is a surgical emergency. Common in Asian males, it presented with signs and symptoms of diffuse peritonitis. Aggressive resuscitation intravenous fluids antibiotics followed by workup enable the patient hemodynamically stable. Explorative laparotomy colo-colic anastomosis double barrel ileostomy curative.A 32-year-old-male from Nepal chief complain abdominal pain for day peritonitis to Emergency room. After assessing stabilizing patient, explorative was performed. Ileal sigmoid resection done. On regular follow-up, he his usual state health.The incidence ileosigmoid reported be about 1.6 cases per year. It often misdiagnosed as non-specific intestinal obstruction which confers poor prognostic value patient. should identified promptly intervened timely.Ileosigmoid rare but dangerous differential acute abdomen not missed. Early assessment quick decision making key provide excellent prognosis need, provided adequate skills are demonstrated.
