ABSTRACT
Candida arthritis is a very rare disease and parapsilosis infection of the native knee joint extremely rare. It challenging to diagnose treat because clinical manifestations, laboratory radiologic findings are not specific well defined. We report case C. joint.A 67-year-old man visit outpatient clinic for persistent right pain effusion. Inflammatory markers were elevated biochemical studies fluid showed WBC counts. Under assumption septic arthritis, arthroscopic irrigation debridement performed. was isolated on intraoperative culture. Fluconazole used under diagnosis arthritis. Once there no relapse infection, total arthroplasty implemented.As can be lead poor prognosis, should considered in patients with untreated infections. Blood radiographic examination, fungus culture from accompanied early diagnosis. Total may after treatment fluconazole. Prognosis similar compared who underwent primary osteoarthritis.If complaint or without effusion, surgeons consider possibility infection. After proper antifungal agents has cleared up, planned.
