ABSTRACT
Positioning nodule with a steel wire in pulmonary surgery is common preoperative step. To date, no reports have been published on the retention of wires body post-surgery, nor there studies describing ultrasound-guided removal foreign objects from chest wall. This report describes case matter was removed wall by ultrasound-guided.A 70-year-old woman underwent thoracoscope resection nodule; however, fragment positioning remained during surgery. The anesthetist located residual using ultrasound, and subsequently, surgeon successfully it.Detection rare usually associated trauma or accidental materials such as absorbable gelatin sponges sutures surgery, which are often found X-rays. process time-consuming, X-rays being radioactive potentially harmful to patients medical workers. Ultrasonic waves safe offer convenient alternative for procedures. We through 0.5 cm skin incision, this method neither caused increased costs.Ultrasonography-assisted rapid, convenient, technique, promising enhance future surgical interventions.
