ABSTRACT
Information systems (IS) literature has predominantly studied IS project control with a focus on software development projects. However, by virtue of digital transformation, an increasing number organizations are implementing cross-functional teams, combining operations tasks. The goal is to react quickly the ever-changing market requirements. DevOps concept aims effectively orchestrate and activities smoothly manage tensions within resulting from heterogeneous composition skills, responsibilities, working styles. In contrast predominant management view prior research, which focuses development, this study investigates different perspective: focusing exerting in teams simultaneously navigating between operations. Utilizing inductive theory-building approach, we first identify four discussed literature—namely, conflict, method discomfort, decision rights, time rhythm—and then empirically derive corresponding resolutions. Integrating our findings, present derived model that can serve as approach for teams. This extends theoretical knowledge about serves inform IT practitioners, helping them successfully implement
