ABSTRACT
The raccoon dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides) is an invasive canid species native to East Asia with several distinct characteristics. Here, we report a chromosome-scale genome of the high contiguity, completeness, and accuracy. intact taste receptor genes, expanded gene families, positively selected genes related digestion, absorption, foraging, detoxification likely support omnivory dogs. Several dog-specific mutations in TDRD6 ZP3 may explain their reproductivity. Enriched GO terms energy metabolism immune were speculated be closely diverse system In addition, found that families lipid insulin resistance contribute winter sleep dog. This high-quality provides valuable resource for understanding evolutionary characteristics this species.
