ABSTRACT
In this paper, the assessment of sensitivity soil in rural area Čukarica municipality to processes degradation is considered. Land areas, especially vicinity large cities, are exposed numerous degradation: erosion, urban and industrial zone expansion at expense fertile agricultural soils, activation landslides a number other significant ecological problems. Based on characteristics research area, MEDALUS (Mediterranean Desertification Use) model was applied, for main quality indicators were considered: soil, climate, vegetation management. For each analyzed indicators, parameter groups identified. Each quantified according defined method by giving them coefficient between 1.0 2.0. ArcGIS 10.0 has been applied analyze prepare layers maps. Subsequently, geometric mean all four used generate map environmental degradation. The results obtained show that 41.54% study classified as critical; 22.34% surface fragile; 8.47% areas potentially endangered 9.58% not threatened processes. have also shown functional tool simulations which support sustainable land management prone
