ABSTRACT
Hyperlipidemia triggers atherosclerosis by involving immune cells, such as T-cells. T-cells plays a role in worsening conditions during high-fat diet (HFD). The research aimed to analyze the of single garlic oil (SGO) on activation and its proinflammatory cytokine expression HFD mice. Mice were divided into six groups: ND (normal diet); (high-fat without treatment); + Simv (HFD simvastatin 2.6 mg/kg body weight); SGO 1-3 dose 12.5, 25, 50 weight), respectively. Treatments orally given every day for 45 days. At end treatments, lymphocytes isolated from mice spleen. relative number cytokines measured using flow-cytometry analyzed one-way ANOVA (p < 0.05). Our result indicated that had lower naive T cells (CD4+CD62L+) than normal treatment increased naïve cells. TNF-α IFN-γ through NF-κB expression. Furthermore, improved IFN-γ. study suggests could act promising prospect therapy improve chronic inflammation HFD.
