ABSTRACT
The chirality of amino acids in extraterrestrial materials may provide an insight into the origin essential l-enantiopure terrestrial biosphere. In 2020, Hayabusa2 mission succeeded bringing back surface from C-type asteroid (162173) Ryugu to Earth. Amino were one targeted organic molecules be studied samples. To analyze various structural isomers acids, which expected present, limited amount returned samples, development a highly-sensitive and selective analytical method was necessary. present study, three-dimensional high-performance liquid chromatography (3D-HPLC) system has been developed for enantioselective determination five proteinogenic three non-proteinogenic sample separated by reversed-phase, anion-exchange columns after fluorescence derivatization with 4-fluoro-7-nitro-2,1,3-benzoxadiozole. applicability samples evaluated analyzing several types carbonaceous meteorites before applying analysis all target successfully determined quantitatively. Non-proteinogenic including 2-amino-n-butyric acid, isovaline norvaline, rarely environment, found as almost racemic mixtures 47.1 55.2 %l.
