ABSTRACT
Geopolymer materials have garnered considerable interest as one of the most promising eco-friendly inorganic options over last decade, thanks to their remarkable properties, including mechanical, chemical, and thermal stability, cost-effectiveness, sustainable synthesis process, enabling use in numerous high-value applications. Meanwhile, ever-increasing concentration CO2 atmosphere is an urgent concern for environment human health, forcing development effective capture, storage, transformation strategies. Various potential solutions reducing carbon emissions emerged with advancement novel technologies capture from exhaust streams air. Concurrently, significant studies been conducted on utilizing geopolymers a material capture. This review provides comprehensive overview geopolymers' recent advances obstacles management. We focus state-of-the-art geopolymer foams composites, highlighting capturing CO2. In addition, we catalysts or precursors converting into value-added chemicals geological sequestration. Moreover, analyze current limitations opportunities further The perspective role mitigating effects advancing future.
