ABSTRACT
This paper presents a finite element model for the analysis of composite beams with partial interaction. In this model, elements are modeled by six different types frame elements. Compared other methods presented in literature, main advantages proposed method as follows: (1) intuitiveness, present close and easy to understand relation structural behavior beam; (2) applicability directly provides useful information design work; (3) versatility generalization dealing any combination loading boundary conditions (Furthermore, enables statically indeterminate structures, tapered well structures non-uniform shear connector distributions.); (4) elaboration models; (5) possible widespread use can be implemented software. To validate accuracy efficiency set FEMs verified against those results obtained analytical equations available literature conditions. Furthermore, parametric studies performed investigate effects size along influence connection stiffness on I beams.
