ABSTRACT
Chitosan has been applied as a food additive due to its prebiotic functions, while the relationship between changes in intestinal microbiota caused by chitosan and weight loss remains unclear. This study confirmed control effect of context high-fat diet consumption. Interestingly, increased serum leptin level groups oral glucose tolerance low-fat groups. reduced chronic inflammation Moreover, microbiome was influenced intervention feeding time increased. supplementation anti-obesity-related species, such Coprobacillus cateniformis Clostridium leptum, significantly decreased lactatifermentans cocleatum. Spearman correlation analysis showed that leptum were positively correlated with leptin. suggests is closely related modification gut microbiota.
