ABSTRACT
To evaluate the anti-inflammatory function of mogroside V (MGV) and its molecular mechanism, dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced inflammation model were used in study. Results indicated that MGV (100 mg/kg/day) supplementation diet improved health status mice. Western blot results showed inhibited expression pro-inflammatory factors colonic tissues. significantly reduced expressions cytokines LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells, also phosphorylation MAPKs. promoted activation AMPK inhibition PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway. Compound C (AMPK inhibitor) SC79 (Akt activator) reversed alleviating effect on via a hub molecule mTOR, indicating inhibits by triggering AMPK-PI3K/Akt/mTOR Collectively, can potentially be treatments ulcerative colitis, it exerts MAPK-NF-κB/AP-1 pathways colitis.
