ABSTRACT
α-Solanine, a natural small molecule compound, mainly derived from potato tubers with anti-tumor and anti-inflammatory effects. No studies have yet confirmed that α-solanine can act on tumor cells via ferroptosis, its molecular mechanism is unclear. The present study aimed to whether could induce nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) cell death through ferroptosis specific mechanism. Here, was proven trigger in NPC targeting HSP90α directly. primary manifestations of α-solanine-induced HK-1 5-8F were increased levels ROS, MDA,iron altered mitochondrial structure. Moreover, there noticeable decrease SLC7A11 GPX4 expression. Mechanistic showed directly binds which promotes p53 expression ultimately inhibits the level inactivate GPX4. Collectively, our revealed potential application treatment ferroptosis.
