ABSTRACT
Bt cotton production is mainly challenged by two problems, i.e., the low concentration of Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) protein at boll setting stage and its lowest insect resistance in bolls all organs. Therefore, increasing stage, especially bolls, has become main goal cotton. In this study, degradation inhibitors (EDTA Leupeptin) were sprayed on subtending leaves, whole plants respectively peak flowering cultivars (medium maturation Sikang 1 (SK1) early Zhongmian 425 (Z425)) 2019 2020, respectively. The content metabolism investigated. results showed that enhanced 21.3 to 38.8%, 25.0 38.6% treated SK1 ZM425 respectively, while decreasing leaves these bolls. increased 7.6 23.5%, 11.2 14.9% for Z425, combined application EDTA Leupeptin both leaves. was higher, 22.5 31.0%, 19.6 32.5% organs with or/and reduced free amino acid content, protease peptidase activities a significant enhancing soluble content. These indicated inhibiting could improve thus plants. increase without yield reduction suggested may applicable production.
