Systems dynamics research in management and organization studies: Overview and research agenda

This paper presents a bibliometric analysis of the systems dynamics (SD) research landscape, drawing on 2,091 documents from Scopus and Web Science. employs techniques to explore evolution scientific community over past 50 years assess productivity impact. Through network analysis, study further reveals field's social conceptual structures. approach revealed four pivotal thematic clusters, which were discussed based content analysis: (1) operations strategy formulation, (2) behavioral studies collaborative approaches, (3) dynamic performance management, (4) thinking for sustainable development. The findings reveal diverse interdisciplinary trajectory SD research, reflecting its integration into broad array fields potential inform both theoretical practical applications. concludes by providing targeted recommendations future with particular emphasis enhancing management organizational through incorporation methodologies. includes influence design adaptive strategies, use in participatory policymaking, application tools promoting learning sustainability.
