ABSTRACT
Remote sensing images obtained by a variety of sensors have been widely used in different Earth observation tasks. However, owing to budget and sensor technology constraints, single cannot simultaneously provide observational with both high spatial temporal resolution. This brings difficulties remote research which requires resolution data. To solve the above spatiotemporal fusion (STF) method was proposed has received widespread attention. The main challenge for STF is reconstruct phenological land cover type changes. overcome this challenge, many methods based on principles strategies. Since there are recently, need new review reflect current status. Therefore, review, we summarize existing studies, discusses their basic principle limitations, collect some recent applications, comprehensive overview advances. Furthermore, facilitate promote community, also publicly available resources introduce most quantitative metrics. Finally, take conversation about open problems challenges that require attention future.
