ABSTRACT
The mechanical properties of castings depend on the grain size. There is evidence that titanium and boron (Al–5Ti–1B master alloy) affect size magnesium alloys. Here, influence addition 0–1 wt. % Al–5Ti–1B alloy AZ91 was investigated. Melting performed in steel corundum crucibles. To study effect cooling rate size, cylindrical samples were cast fireclay molds. did not change phase composition alloy.
