ABSTRACT
Ultrasonic impact treatment (UIT) is considered to solve the defects of wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) components such as coarse grain size, large residual stress, and poor mechanical properties. In this paper, effects UIT on microstructure properties 2219 aluminum alloy WAAM were systematically studied. The effect size porosity was investigated by metallographic experiments. Electron backscattering diffraction (EBSD) used analyze orientation texture. chemical composition phase characterized energy dispersive spectrum (EDS) transmission electron microscopy (TEM). analyzed tensile test. Therefore, influence strengthening mechanism are analyzed. results show that can refine reduce porosity. addition, increase dislocation density, improve surface distribute precipitated evenly in matrix, thus effectively improving components. This study provides a basis for quality components, has reference value application technology, well regulation alloy.
