ABSTRACT
A series of CoCrFeNi(Mo, Nb) high entropy alloys (HEAs) were prepared using vacuum arc-melting. The effect Nb and Mo on the microstructure temperature anti-oxidation properties HEAs was investigated. addition only found to not cause formation new phase, but did increase lattice distortion. After Nb, as-prepared CoCrFeNiMo0.2Nb0.1 CoCrFeNiMo0.2Nb0.2 are characteristic duplex-phase structures FCC Laves, in which Laves phase is semi-coherent with matrix. Our studies also revealed that oxidation kinetics followed parabolic rate law corresponding constants calculated. Due synergistic effects improved significantly. It discovered containing at inner layer hindered outward diffusion active metal cations, ergo improving resistance HEAs. With content, it further recognized layered structure thinner denser. Therefore, oxygen ion process alloy can be inhibited effectively by undulated
