ABSTRACT
Pruni Semen, the seed of several unique Prunus plants, is a traditional purgative herbal material. To determine authentic sources 46 samples from four species were collected and analyzed. Ten compounds including multiflorin A (Mul A), notable purative compound, isolated identified by chemical separation nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Seventy-six communal components ultra-high performance liquid chromatography with linear ion trap-quadrupole Orbitrap mass spectrometry, acetyl flavonoid glycosides recognized as characteristic constituents. The flavonoids distributed in coat cyanogenic kernel. Based on this, methods for identifying Semen different established using fingerprinting, quantitative analysis eight principal compounds, hierarchical cluster analysis, component orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis. results showed that divided into two categories: one small seeds humilis (Ph) japonica (Pj), other big pedunculata (Pp) triloba (Pt). average content Mul was 3.02, 6.93, 0.40, 0.29 mg/g, while amygdalin 18.5, 17.7, 31.5, 30.9 mg/g Ph, Pj, Pp, Pt, respectively. All above information suggests might be superior Semen. This first comprehensive report identification species.
