ABSTRACT
Trace amines (TAs) are metabolically related to catecholamine and associated with cancer neurological disorders. Comprehensive measurement of TAs is essential for understanding pathological processes providing proper drug intervention. However, the trace amounts chemical instability challenge quantification. Here, diisopropyl phosphite coupled chip two-dimensional (2D) liquid chromatography tandem triple-quadrupole mass spectrometry (LC-QQQ/MS) was developed simultaneously determine metabolites. The results showed that sensitivities increased up 5520 times compared those using nonderivatized LC-QQQ/MS. This sensitive method utilized investigate their alterations in hepatoma cells after treatment sorafenib. significantly altered metabolites suggested phenylalanine tyrosine metabolic pathways were sorafenib Hep3B cells. has great potential elucidate mechanism diagnose diseases considering an increasing number physiological functions have been discovered recent decades.
