ABSTRACT
Although there is a low incidence of shoulder instability in women, this population still representative and often associated with lower rates return to sports. Few studies have evaluated the results Latarjet procedure population.This was prospective cohort study female athletes who underwent between 2013 2018. The participants were followed up for 3 years. primary outcomes included visual analog scale pain; range motion: active elevation, passive external rotation, rotation. functional scores as follows: American Shoulder Elbow Surgeons score, Western Ontario Instability Index, Athletic Outcome Rating Scale. Additional data collected regarding sport, complication rates, patient satisfaction.Thirteen practice Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Handball, Judo, or Weight training evaluated. There significant reduction mean motion all movements at 4 weeks after surgery. Patients recovered similar preoperative values 6 months. reached 6.39 first week surgery decreased below preop 8 weeks. Index 126.77 (min 118; max 135), end follow-up, WOSI index 45.08 37; 65; P < .05). score 41.61 35; 46), ASES 84.46 80; 90; Scale period 39.38 42), ASORS 83.15 77; 85; rate sports 92.3%, 84.6% patients satisfied aesthetic satisfaction 76.9%. 15.4% (1 screw failure 1 dislocation recurrence).Latarjet showed high improved without impairing procedure. Recurrence low. In addition, treatment functionality satisfaction.
