ABSTRACT
In fluctuating thermal conditions, the survival challenge for insects is particularly difficult because their physiological activities depend upon environmental temperature. The extreme temperature or heat stress leads to insect species' extinction and evolution in adaptation strategies. Upon heat, many species cannot survive, they do not possess sufficient tolerance during gradual habitat. current review, we demonstrated process which triggers responses toward stressed environments engenders capacities ectothermic including nervous system response detect metabolic mechanism stress, silk shelters behavior changes, host plant preferences, microhabitat selection, thermoregulatory acclimation under stress. This review highlighted that besides insect's regulated by varied mechanisms, shock proteins (HSPs) still needs proper investigations. Entrenched geographical distributions discussed strategies behavioral mechanisms evolved due Many cope with help of phenotype plasticity genetic variations. are alone avoid temperatures populations. There need explore how respond changes using advanced variation methods both hot cold-adapted species. enriched new insight improve researcher's understanding distinct evolutionary consequences adaptations changing climate.
