ABSTRACT
A 47-year-old man with a history of transposition the great arteries after Mustard atrial switch procedure and prior inferior vena cava filter placement for venous thromboembolism presented removal before being listed orthotopic heart transplantation in anticipation cardiopulmonary bypass cannulation. The was retrieved using right transjugular approach without disruption his existing baffle. Contingency planning event unsuccessful baffle navigation included transfemoral everted approach. thorough understanding unique patient anatomy multidisciplinary team is critical to safe procedural intervention patients congenital cardiovascular anomalies.
