ABSTRACT
Fresh-cut lily bulbs have broad consumption prospects in the vegetable market due to their high nutritional value and convenience processing; however, potential discoloration microbial infection during storage adversely affect quality. This study investigated effect of modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) plant essential oils (EOs) on preservation bulbs. The results showed that MAP significantly preserved color weight bulbs, different conditions caused effects bacterial inhibition. Low oxygen-MAP (L-MAP) a stronger antibacterial than air-MAP (A-MAP), whereas appropriate agents were still needed improve effect. Therefore, EOs employed further control growth microorganisms by preparing EO solid particles (PESP). combined use L-MAP PESP prolonged shelf life 12 d with higher contents nutrients better appearance quality compared control. Furthermore, physiological metabolism was regulated treatment PESP, which inhibited starch degradation, MDA accumulation respiratory oxidase activities.
