ABSTRACT
Physical aging represents one of the major obstacles towards adoption polymer intrinsic microporosity (PIM) membranes for gas separation applications. In this work, mixed matrix (MMMs) 2D boron nitride nanosheets (BNNS) and PIM-1 were prepared applied in a CO2/CH4 (1:1, v:v) binary mixture. The tested over period more than year to evaluate their anti-aging properties as compared neat PIM-1. results show that introducing BNNS into leads significant reduction physical PIM-1, demonstrated by values CO2 permeability after 414 days (22% MMMs 58% PIM-1). This work paves way using PIM-based industry.
