ABSTRACT
The main aim of present research was to develop a new low-cost synthesis route produce ultralight Al2O3 cryogel – fiber composite materials for high temperature insulation. fibers give the matrix in these composites, instead typical reinforcement phase. precursor systems drawing and freeze drying is based on sol–gel chemistry. starting (inorganic Al salts, organic solvents, additives) were same both type porous systems. length (5–10 cm) sufficient form composites. average diameter 10 µm; size particles generally 20–30 µm characterised by 2D 3D SEM, N2 sorption analysis, FTIR spectroscopy, thermal conductivity measurements, thermo-vacuum, vibration, satellite tests.
