In September 2020, the Chinese government proposed goals to reach carbon dioxide emissions peak by 2030 and achieve neutrality 2060 ("two-carbon goals"). This brings opportunities development application of CO2-enhanced gas recovery (CO2-EGR) in China. To obtain an overall understanding CO2-EGR under two-carbon goals, this paper analyzes significance, potential, status quo challenges CO2-EGR, makes suggestions on The research results are obtained as follows.
