ABSTRACT
An upgrade program is planned for the LHC which will smoothly bring luminosity up to or above 5×1034 cm−2 s−1 sometimes after 2020, possibly reach an integrated of 3000 fb−1 at end that decade. In this ultimate scenario, called Phase-2, when High Luminosity phase (HL-LHC), CMS need a completely new Tracker detector, in order fully exploit highly-demanding operating conditions and delivered luminosity. The should have also trigger capabilities. To achieve such goals, R&D activities are ongoing explore options develop solutions would allow including tracking information Level-1. design choices pixel outer tracker upgrades discussed along with some highlights expected detector performance.
