ABSTRACT
Many diseases that affect the liver can be treated by natural products derived from plants. The purpose of this investigation was to evaluate efficacy Senna alexandrina leaf powder supplementation on oxidative stress, inflammation, fibrosis, and hepatic damage in Swiss albino mice induced carbon tetrachloride (CCl4).Plasma levels ALP, ALT AST were increased after CCl4 administration compared controls, but significantly decreased these activities. In addition, CCl4-treated showed elevated stress lipid peroxidation which reduced supplementation.Notably, supplement able alleviate CCL4 cell infiltration collagen iron deposition as evident histology CCL4-treated suggesting its potential hepatoprotective function. These findings point toSenna for protecting CCl4induced reducing peroxidation, weakened cellular antioxidant defense.
