ABSTRACT
To satisfy the ever-growing demands for high energy density electrical vehicles and large-scale storage systems, thick electrode has been proposed proven to be an effective way achieve density. However, electrochemical performance of is hindered by inferior mechanical stabilities, poor charge transport kinetics, severe lithiation heterogeneities anabatic thermal risks, which block its step commercialization. Herein, we reviewed crucial issues arising in electrode, provided latest insights into theoretical modeling experimental design next-generation LIBs electrodes a combination existing methods multiscale models. Then, summarized recent advances emerging architecture designs high-performance LIBs. Moreover, some in-depth underlying associated with possible solutions were taken account.
