ABSTRACT
In this paper, we investigate and experimentally demonstrate the filter parameters' effect on performance of typical all-optical thresholding (AOT) system. By establishing a conceptual scheme, AOT's output power, waveform, power transform function, as well bit-error-rate are measured analyzed with different parameters including center wavelength passband width, while available researches mainly focus employing various fibers. We typically select 1567, 1576, 1585, 1594, 1603 nm, each corresponds to width 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 respectively. And when fix signal injected into highly nonlinear fiber (HNLF) 18.5 dBm, an optimal system improvement 4 dB can be achieved for 1576 nm corresponding nm. This result provides new perspective future studies optimization.
