ABSTRACT
Supercontinuum generation from undoped and rare-earth doped Barium Zinc Borate glass with variation in input chirp of a fs pulse is investigated. With varying chirp, the most intense peak of the supercontinuum (SC) spectrum is observed. The peak shift for rare-earth-doped samples with the negatively chirped pulses was not significant compared to that observed with positively chirped pulses. Comparing the evolution of SCG with varying input pulse chirp suggested a material dependency of supercontinuum generation under chirping.
