ABSTRACT
The relationship between capillary pressure and saturation plays a critical role in the characterization of two-phase flow transport aquifers oil reservoirs. This is usually determined under static condition, where only function saturation. However, considerable experiments have suggested that dependence on desaturation rate dynamic condition. Thus, more general description includes effect has been approved widely. A comprehensive understanding needed for investigation porous media by various methods. In general, can be studied through laboratory experiment, pore- to macro-scale modeling, artificial neural network. Here, main principle research procedures each method are reviewed detail. Then, progress, disadvantages advantages discussed, respectively. addition, upscaling study from introduced, which explains difference experiment pore-scale modeling. At last, several future perspectives recommendations optimal solution presented.
