Abstract The author responds to the attempted tutorial (Chapin et al., Physica B (2013) [6] ) on solar cell physics specifically as it relates to the hypothetical toy model quantum coherent solar cell (Scully, Phys. Rev. Lett. 104 (2010) 207701 [1] ).
