ABSTRACT
Abstract We have performed angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy study of the electronic structure of the tri-layer high- T c cuprate superconductor Bi 2 Sr 2 Ca 2 Cu 3 O 10 + δ and observed separate band dispersions and Fermi surfaces corresponding to the outer and inner CuO2 planes. From the band dispersions, the c-axis hopping parameter t ⊥ between the outer and inner CuO2 planes is estimated to be ∼56 meV.
