ABSTRACT
We analytically study the holographic superfluid phase transition in AdS soliton background by using variational method for Sturm-Liouville eigenvalue problem. By investigating s-wave and p-wave models probe limit, we observe that spatial component of gauge field will hinder transition. Moreover, note that, different from black hole spacetime, always belongs to second order critical exponent system takes mean-field value both models. Our analytical results are found be good agreement with numerical findings.
