ABSTRACT
The inclusive J/ψ production has been studied in Pb–Pb and pp collisions at the centre-of-mass energy per nucleon pair sNN=5.02 TeV, using ALICE detector CERN LHC. meson is reconstructed, rapidity interval 2.5<y<4 transverse-momentum range pT<12 GeV/c, via its decay to a muon pair. In this Letter, we present results on cross section s=5.02 TeV nuclear modification factor RAA. latter presented as function of centrality collision and, for central collisions, transverse momentum pT J/ψ. measured RAA values indicate suppression are then compared our previous obtained sNN=2.76 TeV. ratio two energies also computed calculations statistical dynamical models. numerical value events (0–10% centrality) 1.17±0.04(stat)±0.20(syst). events, pT, slight increase with visible region 2<pT<6 GeV/c. Theoretical qualitatively describe measurements, within uncertainties.
