ABSTRACT
Recently, the ALICE Collaboration reported an enhancement of yield ratio strange and multi-strange hadrons to charged pions as a function multiplicity at mid-rapidity in proton-proton, proton-lead, lead-lead, xenon-xenon scattering. observations provide strong indication that quark-gluon plasma is partly formed high events both small large colliding systems. Motivated by ALICE's results, we propose new test for hadronic interaction models used analyzing ultra-high-energy-cosmic-ray (UHECR) collisions with air nuclei. The grounded almost equal column-energy density UHECR-air lead-lead LHC. We applied post-LHC event generators describing phenomena UHECR scattering show these QCD Monte Carlo-based codes must be retuned accommodate strangeness relative observed LHC data.
