ABSTRACT
The tropical Asian and Australasian floras have a close relationship, is vital distribution pattern of seed plants worldwide. As estimated, more than 81 families 225 genera distributed between Asia Australasia. However, the evolutionary dynamics two were still vague. Here, total 29 plant lineages, represented main clades different habits, selected to investigate biotic interchange Australasia by integrated dated phylogenies, biogeography, ancestral state reconstructions. Our statistics indicated that 68 migrations occurred since middle Eocene except terminal migrations, migration events from 2 times reverse. Only 12 before 15 Ma, whereas remaining 56 after Ma. Maximal number potential dispersal (MDE) analysis also shows obvious asymmetry, with southward as feature, indicates climax bi-directional We speculate formation island chains Australian-Sundaland collision climate changes driven Miocene. Furthermore, stable habitat may be crucial for floristic
