Environmental problems caused by plastic pollution are among the most pressing issues of our time. In recent years, metagenomics has become a powerful tool for understanding microbial communities responsible biodegradation. this review, developments and trends in discussed, comprehensive overview metagenomic methodology, analysis, comparison plastic-degrading bacteria is provided. addition, environmental consequences degradation such as impact on soil, water, air quality, well potential health risks posed ingesting inhaling microplastics. Possible solutions to problem, using biodegradable materials implementing recycling programs, also explained. This review highlights development sustainable pollution.
