ABSTRACT
Abstract Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are one of the most commonly used network technologies and the security of sensing data in WSNs has attracted much attentions. However, many security schemes, such as encryption and authentication, used in WSNs are limited due to the energy constraint of sensor nodes. Therefore, how to deal with the trade-off between security and energy consumption is a challenging issue in current study. In this paper, we propose an asymmetric key encryption scheme based on elliptic curve to provide a solution for WSNs. Firstly, the scheme optimizes the key scheme which generates and manages keys periodically. Secondly, it uses privacy homomorphism to support end-to-end encryption. Thirdly, we design a rotation MAC generationalgorithm to achieve the hop-by-hop verification. The experimental results show that the proposed mechanism has lower energy consumption and higher security level.
