Data mining for epidemiology: The correlation of typhoid fever occurrence and environmental factors

ABSTRACT
Typhoid fever is an endemic disease that burdens Indonesia and has a potentially fatal infection multisystem. Salmonella typhi bacterium responsible for typhoid disease. Poor sanitation, crowding, slums are the main factors of increasing incidences. Environmental directly connected to meteorological factor in breeding bacterium. This study aims identify correlation between parameters occurrence. The was carried out Jakarta, Indonesia, Bureau Meteorological, Climatology, Geophysics (BMKG) provided parameter data. In addition, Jakarta health surveillance office information on hospitalizations from 2019 2021. Pearson's concept utilized d investigate incidences parameters. Humidity, precipitation, wind speed significantly affect contribute occurrence These findings might be used as reference Indonesia's government making public policy prevent Indonesia.
