ABSTRACT
According to the Assessment Report 4 of Working Group II Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change (2007), there are five approaches in Impact, Adaptation and Vulnerability (CCIAV) assessment. Notably, has been shifting from research-driven assessments integrated toward policy-making, where decision-makers stakeholder either participate or drive assessment (UNDP, 2005). Unlike other four which more research oriented, risk approach started be applied mainstreaming adaptation option into policy-making globally. Since 2008, Government Indonesia explored use for climate change planning. Several case studies have done including preparation a national document namely Sectoral Roadmap, Risk Province South Sumatra, Nusa Tenggara Barat, Greater Malang, City Tarakan. Sumatra is one areas tipped prone impact change.
