ABSTRACT
Acoustic Emissions (AE) are at the basis of extremely accurate and reliable monitoring systems. Within SmartBench project, data regarding structural health components gathered in a database order to make safety integrated, operative smart. An modelling wave propagation is necessary requirement for proper design sensor networks as well interpretation. Numerical simulations transient behavior systems well-established this field but, on minus side, they very expensive terms computational time resources. This paper reports different instances AE through metallic media. Bulk waves guided both investigated by means 2D 3D models resorting software. Obtained results cross-checked times compared well. As last point, High Performance Computing applied case simulation get significant reduction required time.
