ABSTRACT
The American Association of Colleges Pharmacy (AACP) Leadership Development Special Interest Group (LD SIG) held a one-hour "Virtual Think Tank" (VTT) interactive session in 2020 for pharmacy educators interested leadership development. purpose this study was to evaluate the quantitative and qualitative outcomes VTT. VTT attendees worked together small groups created based on pre-selected common interest areas related development create collaborative initiative plans (CLIPs), which were ideas new scholarly or programmatic initiatives. Quantitative included statistically significant increases positive perceptions toward organization hosting regarding networking, collaboration, educational professional service opportunities, as well improvements attitudes engagement with sponsoring organization. Additionally, 18.4% continued communicating CLIP post-VTT 13.2% respondents indicated that they successfully implemented generated during Qualitative findings two most commonly encountered barriers insufficient traction initial idea lack time (41.9% (n = 13) both).
