ABSTRACT
Terahertz logic gates will have a wide range of applications in future 6G communications. In this study, we theoretically propose frequency-tunable all-optical terahertz gate composed silicon-metal composite metamaterial with liquid crystal (LC) layer. Simulation results demonstrate the presence electromagnetically induced transparency transmission spectrum device. Upon illumination, window can be altered owing to photoelectric effect Si segments. The designed device realize NOR Boolean operation based on illumination-transmission response. More importantly, LC layer adjustable permittivity presents an effective method for manipulating device's working frequency. influences layer's thickness are also studied.
