ABSTRACT
Incorrect inhaler use and poor treatment adherence have a negative impact on COPD outcomes. This multi-centre, single arm, non-interventional, phase IV study investigated whether inhalation technique, patient outcomes change in patients who evolve from dual therapy or multiple triple to extrafine (beclomethasone dipropionate (BDP, 87 μg), formoterol fumarate (FF, 5 μg) glycopyrronium (G, 9 μg)) combination with technique training.A total of 126 were included the per protocol set. Inhalation assessed at baseline two visits approximately 3 6 months BDP/FF/G. In addition, lung function, symptom score, satisfaction exacerbations (exploratory) followed up.Before switching BDP/FF/G (baseline), any device errors critical detected for 28.8% 9.6% patients, respectively. After BDP/FF/G, percentage decreased 14.0% (visit 2) 16.3% 3), without follow-up visits. Treatment increased 67.5% 75.8% 80% 3). scores improved, whilst exacerbation rates substantially decreased. This observational demonstrates that eligible real-life setting, switch training is associated improved adherence.
