ABSTRACT
This paper discusses the direct fabrication of ultrathin Ni(OH)2 nanosheets on substrates via a facile solvothermal process, which is free from use additional surfactants. The precursor converted into porous NiO heat treatment. thickness and morphology controlled by manipulating ethanol content in solvent. acetone sensing performance all samples has been evaluated, as observed, 75% ethanol-based gas sensor (NiO-75), demonstrates ultrahigh sensitivity, response value can reach 60%, when nanosheet detects 100 ppb gas, ultralow detection limit (0.8 acetone), good stability. excellent be attributed to their structure, provides large surface area crystal facet with affinity gas. Moreover, structure facilitates diffusion products improve sensitivity. Furthermore, NiO-75 superior selectivity, against other interfering gases. findings this study indicate that low cost fabricated simple process could considered potential, candidates for commercial applications.,
